By now, many of you have seen these Levi's commercials. I can hardly handle how beautiful they are. They both feature Walt Whitman reading his own poems and make my heart hurt with pretty. The top video is directed by M. Blash and the second was directed by Cary Fukunaga, who also directed Sin Nombre (which I want to see!) Enjoy:

Recently, I won a giveaway contest from Byrd & Belle and with it purchased this GORGEOUS laptop sleeve. It's wool felt with leather details. Friends, I really recommend you check out the shop here. Those gadget cases are swell holiday gifts if you're gift-giving type of person!

Remember when I didn't drink beer?

Well, now I do. And I'd like one right about now.

Thank you.

I just picked up another copy of this to read since it's one of my two favorite books of all-time. I decided to actually begin to choose favorites so I can answer questions and get to know people without hemming and hawing. I think it's okay if my favorites rotate. Although To Kill A Mockingbird has topped my list for years. I am noticing this time that Scout reminds me a lot of my best friend and it's making me chuckle to think of her. And I'm remembering about how she had a fish named Boo Radley. He hid a lot.

OOPS. I missed two days!

I went to an Arrested Development-themed party on Friday! I dressed up as Maebe and Joseph went as George-Michael. We all picked our favorite episodes to watch. Joseph picked "Ready, Aim, Marry Me" which is the one with Uncle Jack ("swoop me, Dragon!") and I chose "Let 'Em Eat Cake" (Bees? Beads.) I love that show. And I wish I actually was Maebe. Or at least had her dark freckles.

Last night we met up with Joseph's old roommate Lars who spent a couple months this summer riding his bike from Banff to Mexico. Really! He met a bear and crazy people and nice people and spent a lot of time alone in beautiful places. You can read about the entire trip in a jiffy here: http://larsgreatdividebike2009.blogspot.com/. His pictures are terrific!

Today we rearranged the living room. I wish I could have you all over to watch some movies and eat snacks because our new set up is the ultra cozy. No small feat in a place with concrete floors!

xoxo

Today was ridiculous. And not in the best way. So I am going to do homework, watch tv with the mister and put this day away.

Auntey Kate update:

It's a girl! I'm going to have a niece. I want to name her Harriet Fern. (I don't think Shawn will let me and she's his daughter, after all.) I'm thrilled, no matter what they name her!

Here's a few wrap up pictures. Here I am having a sweet moment with my perfect ring in the elevator. The best part of this picture though is definitely Shawn's face:
